Tori, our host, provided seamless service by picking us up from the ferry, an indication of the personal touch that characterizes this quaint hotel. The rustic Japanese-style rooms, complete with tatami mats and futons, offered a peaceful atmosphere, while the views of Angel Road added to the charm. I appreciated the thoughtful amenities like separate onsen-style bathing areas for relaxation after a day of exploring. While the shared facilities may not meet the expectations of those seeking luxury, they reflect the hotel's commitment to maintaining simplicity and comfort. Situated by the waterfront and in proximity to local restaurants, including the delectable Shodoshima Ramen Hishio, Irifune combines a strategic location with cultural immersion. Although it lacks the extensive facilities found in larger hotels, the value lies in the welcoming atmosphere and connection to the island's essence. For travelers on a budget seeking a nostalgic experience, Irifune warrants consideration.
